It’s Mardi Gras time in NOLA, but I don’t want you NYC crowd to feel neglected. You have great choices this weekend, as always. Granted your options are “indie” heavy, but they’re good options nonetheless:
Friday
Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the Bowery Ballroom -
I don’t really need to explain this one to you all, do I? One of the biggest bands on the indie circuit. Go see this.
Saturday
Stars at Webster Hall -
Last year’s Set Yourself on Fire was a very respectable release. They’re an up-and-coming indie rock band with a lot of potential.
The Eames Era at Piano’s -
OK I’ll be honest. I have a crush on Ashlin. She’s a great singer and she’s hot. The uhhh rest of the band is good too. Go see them and tell Ashlin that I said hello. Maybe then she’ll respond to my emails. They’re Baton Rouge locals who play indie pop rock.
