Depeche Mode are currently in the middle of an extensive Eurotour that began last year. And in January they were confirmed as the headliner for day one of Coachella. Today they added a bunch of North American dates to their already crowded schedule.

The band is touring in support of their new album Playing the Angel, released last year on Reprise. I’m pretty ambivalent about the album. It was just another link in a chain of mediocre albums that simply echo how great the band once was. It’s not terrible or anything, it’s just sort of fluffy nothingness. Their live performances, however, are still quite a show. Check them out if you can.
