Nicolai Dunger at the Mercury Lounge
Dunger was a Swedish national soccer player before he turned to a career in music. Kind of like what Jack Johnson did, except Dunger is Scandinavian and not as lame. Dunger is hit or miss for me, he plays a sort of bluesy indie pop. He’s toured and performed with the likes of Will Oldham, Sufjan Stevens, and Calexico. He kind of reminds me of Rod Stewart for some reason. Anyway, it’s not a bad choice for a mellow night.
