The Coachella website has been updated with yet another artist addition. Pop legend Madonna is the latest artist to be added to a lineup that is already epic. Their website issued this statement:

Coachella 2006 Official Line Up - UPDATED AGAIN

The addition of Madonna in the Sahara “dance tent” has sparked a lot of talk, and that along with the recent additions of Daft Punk and Massive Attack are very pleasing. Hugs to everyone!

Her addition seems a bit out of place even with the widely ecclectic lineup, but I guess it’s interesting nonetheless. She is now a part of a roster that includes: Tool, Depeche Mode, Massive Attack, Daft Punk, Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros, My Morning Jacket, TV on the Radio, Ladytron, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Tosca, Cat Power, Animal Collective, Devendra Banhart, She Wants Revenge, the Walkmen, the Juan Maclean, Imogen Heap, Lady Sovereign, Deerhoof, Eagles of Death Metal, Lyrics Born, Mylo. The New Amsterdams, Nine Black Alps, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bloc Party, Scissor Sisters, Sleater-Kinney. Mogwai, Wolf Parade, the Go! Team, Art Brut, Jamie Lidell, Jazzanova, Minus the Bear and many more.
