I was reading “Howl” for the millionth time the other night, using a different book. When Ginsberg writes, “at the muddy bottom of the riverr of Bowery,” there was a footnote on “Bowery.” The note said, “A typical hangout for drug addicts and delinquents. Unreleated sure, but it made me laugh. At any rate, The Go! Team are going to be at the Bowery Ballroom tonight and you should go. It’s Monday night. Don’t pretend like you have something better to do.
