Music for the Future of Music benefit

This will be on my “Things to do: NYC” Friday edition, but I wanted to give you all a heads-up today. I suspect tickets will sellout, so I suggest you head to Ticketweb and purchase your passes for $15 now. The show will be hosted by Charles Bissell of The Wrens and will feature comedian Eugene Miram and music by Matthew Caws and Ira Elliot of Nada Surf, Will Sheff of Okkervil River and Man Man.
All proceeds will go to the Future of Music Coalition, a national nonprofit education, research and advocacy organization that identifies, examines, interprets and translates the challenging issues at the intersection of music, law, technology and policy.
I definitely suggest buying tickets now as this will be a great show and will almost certainly sellout. It starts at 6PM and runs until 9PM. That means you’ll still have all night to go out, get sloshed and wake up next to a hooker with a penis.
