Beastie Boys documentary screens
Awesome: I… Shot That! will screen tonight in theaters across the country. The documentary was filmed in the fall of 2004. Directory Nathaniel Hornblower gave 50 cameras to audience members at a show in Madison Square Garden. The result was a passionate multi-perspective fan documentation of the antics from the legendary trio. I’m quite interested to see this film, but naturally it isn’t screening in New Orleans.

I was actually lucky enough to catch the Beastie Boys live in 2004, while they were on this same tour. It was an amazing show. Definitely the best “hiphop” act I’ve ever seen. The Beasties never cease to amaze me when they pick up instruments and rock out. I suspect this will be a great feature.
