Pitchfork expand lineup
The Pitchfork Music Festival has expanded their already impressive lineup to include: The Devendra Banhart Band, Destroyer and A Band of Horses. The festival will take place in Chicago on July 29 and 30. Tickets are on sale now for $30 at Ticketweb.
In addition to those three, the lineup also features: Spoon, Silver Jews, Yo La Tengo, Mission of Burma, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, Aesop Rock, Mountain Goats, The National, Jens Lekman, Tapes ‘n Tapes, Man Man, Hot Machines. A respectable array of artists by anyone’s watch.
Interestingly, the Pitchfork Festival takes place on the last weekend of July while Lollapalooza occurs on the first weekend of August. Resident hippy Gavin just moved to Chicago, so I’m going to head out for the week and catch both events.
