Bonnaroo expands

Someone told me something recently, that the reason Bonnaroo is appealing to a more hipster crowd this year is because hippy bands don’t draw enough money. It makes perfect sense, really. Hippies are broke and don’t buy gobs of merchandise. Sadly, for Bonnaroo, most of the hipsters I know are broke too.

Well whatever the case, Bonnaroo has made another addition to their lineup. The new artists are: Cypress Hill, Blackalicious, The Streets, Lyrics Born, deadboy & the Elephantmen, The Refugee All Stars, Electric Eel Shock.

They’ve also added a comedy tent that will feature the antics of comedians such as: Lewis Black, Patton Oswalt, Jasper Redd, Jon Reep, Demetri Martin, Vic Henley, Tom Papa, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre Presents: “Air Conditioned Acid Trip,” Paul Scheer, Aziz Ansari, Jackie Clarke, Rob Huebel, Owen Burke, Chad Carter.

It’s a good thing that tent is air conditioned, otherwise Lewis Black might actually explode.

The ever-expanding Bonnaroo lineup already includes: Radiohead, Beck, Elvis Costello, Tom Petty, Andrew Bird, Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Folds, My Morning Jacket, Cat Power, Medeski Martin & Wood, Gomez, Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks, The Dresden Dolls, Son Volt, Sonic Youth, Common, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Devendra Banhart, The Cat Empire, Tortured Soul and a lot of other bands that I don’t care about.
