The Pumpkins return!
Not one to shy away from drama, Billy Corgan has ominously announced on the Smashing Pumpkins website a Smashing Pumpkins reunion. The website simply states that “no release date has been set, but the band plans to begin recording this summer.” The Smashing Pumpkins have not had an album since 2000 when they parted ways. Frontman Billy Corgan had made some noise in Billboard Magazine and Chicago newspapers in the last couple of years about reuniting the group and apparently his plans are coming to fruition. No details on the lineup are known, but it is suspected Jimmy Chamberlain may be the only returning member besides Corgan.
