San Diego Street Scene
The San Diego Street Scene lineup was announced today. SoCal mainstays TOOL and hiphop darling Kanye West will headline this year’s installment of the annual festival. Other performers include AFI, Social Distortion, Snoop Dogg, Modest Mouse, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Queens of the Stone Age, Wu-Tang Clan, My Chemical Romance, Sean Paul, Bloc Party, Bad Religion, Yellowcard, Tricky, She Wants Revenge, Steel Pulse, G Love & Special Sauce, Editors, The Futureheads, Donavon Frankenreiter, Rock Kills Kid, Tapes ‘n Tapes, Thomas Mapfumo & Blacks Unlimited, Lupe Fiasco and more. The event will take place August 4 - 5. Tickets are on sale now via the San Diego Street Scene website.
The shrewd reader will note that this is also the date for this year’s Lollapalooza. Given that I’ve already seen on TOOL fest this year and Kanye is absolutely miserable live, I do believe I’ll be in Chicago rather than San Diego, which some of you may know is actually Spanish for “A Whale’s Vagina.”
