Animal Collective expand tour dates

Animal Collective have added a March 24 Baltimore date to their already sprawling North American tour. It begins next week in and rounds out at Coachella late the spring. They are one of the few acts out there who have consistently released great works. While each album might not necessarily be better than its preceeding […]

Elysian Fields play NYC

Elysian Fields will play a special Valentine’s show at Mo Pitkins tomorrow night at 7PM. The noir rock duo features the velvety vocals of the incredible Jennifer Charles and Oren Bloedow’s hypnotizing guitar. They will deliver an all jazz set for v-day love birds. Things to Do: NYC

I was browsing pollstar’s listing of shows happening in NYC this week and I have to say that I’m completely envious. New Orleans was once a music city. Prior to Katrina, that is. Now it’s apparently going to be the candy mecca of the world and no one wants to perform here anymore. It’s depressing, […]

Woodsmith

Above you’ll find an example of the woodshaping abilited of sculptor Doug Rowell. For a minimum price of $500, Rowell can provide you with your very own awkwardly shaped equipment. The man claims he “can carve anything… out of anything.” After browsing his site, it’s a claim I wouldn’t attempt to argue. Though I […]
